Hi, Thanks for the effort. I was able to get it up and running in the first attempt. Two things only:
1. How to increase the screen size
2. I have assigned 4 logical CPUs to this virtual machine and 4GB RAM. However, any application that I open up is very “flickry”. Also, the CPU usage on the host machine jumps to 70%.

What could be the reason?

Thanks.

I keep getting an error, “A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has stopped,” even though I followed all of the steps.
VirtualBox Version: 5.1.26 r117224
Windows 10 version 1709

Any help would be appreciated.

I get exactly the same error like you with the same version of VirtualBox under Windows 7 x64 on a Core i5-6600K CPU with VT-x enabled in the BIOS. Followed the steps precisely.

Ok, I solved the problem. Although not mentioned in the guide, you need to close VirtualBox before running the commands in Step 5. Please update the instructions accordingly, since this is very important.

I have tried that. It did not fix the issue. I have recreated the VM and made sure to close VirtualBox before running the commands but it gave the same error.
