This post helped me a lot. Thanks.

Just a few notes:
At Step 5, vboxmanage commands don’t work. They worked fine after i closed/restarted my virtualbox manager 🙂
Oh, and I didn’t have to run command prompt as administrator – should be useful for those working in a limited user account.

Can anyone help me? I have followed all the instructions from the post. I didn’t recognize that my os is under Symantec End Point protection. After reinstall of VBox, i couldn’t able to get it working. Getting error as ‘VERR_SUP_VP_REPLACE_VIRTUAL_MEMORY_FAILED (rd=5673)”. I can able to run Old version of virtual box. From 4.3.16 or earlier is working. I couldn’t run newer versions.

Hello, I’ve installed downloaded the rar file and uncompressed. I’ve installed VirtualBox 5.1.22-115126, but the VM doesn’t work. Ok!, so, i’ve uninstall VirtualBox 5.1xxx and install VirtualBox 4.3.xx, but still doesn’t work. My laptop is a Dell Latitude E6320 (Intel Core i5 2520M at 2.5 GHz, 8GB RAM) with Windows 10 Pro. (Sorry, my english it’s not good, but I appreciate your help)

will this work on Virtual Box 5.1.22? I can’t seem to get it to work. Is it because the cmd prompt code above says 5.0.xx and not 5.x.xx? Because 5.1.xx would not fall under 5.0.xx…..

When I enable EFI I end up in the UEFI Interactive Shell. When I disable it, it gives the error “FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted.”
