Hi, I have followed all the steps but when booting, it says missing bluetooth controller transport. Any ideas on how to fix?

Is there a way to get guest additions installed on this? Without it, it’s choppy as hell.

I keep getting a critical error and the virtual machine automatically closes. How to fix?

I am getting stuck on Step 5, when I am typing in Command Prompt it says afterwards “‘VBoxManage’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.” I don’t know what I do next.

You need to change the directory to the program directory (cd C:Program FilesOracleVirtualBox) before issuing any of the commands.

Hello guys for anyone who might encounter a problem signing into App Store because the serial number is set to 0 , run this command from the terminal while the VM is shut down :
VBoxManage setextradata “YOUR_VM” “VBoxInternal/Devices/efi/0/Config/DmiSystemSerial” “string:YOUR_SERIAL NUMBER”

If there arises an error about RAM when restarting the VM open the file VM_NAME.vbox and remove all lines contatining the word ‘pcbios’.
I was able to sign into app store afterwards and upgrade to Sierra

I had done the exact instructions, yet i still get the same problem everytime i try to do anything in virtualbox that includes something mac related, a big black screen upon bootup, is this something that needs to be waited out, or a known problem?

I got this when I recreated the virtual machine from scratch (to fix another error), and forgot to add the
” VBoxManage setextradata… ”
settings.

I hope this is of some help. (Note that you can only make changes when VirtualBox is not open.)

**TIP** for those encountering problems like “bluetooth controller transport” error or “considerrebuildofprelinkedkernel” ensure that you do the following:
On General -> Basic, ensure version is set to “Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan (64-bit)”
On System -> Motherboard ensure Chipset is PIIX3.

I’m stuck at “considerrebuildofprelinkedkernel prebuild rebuilt has expired” Any ideas?

Hello John and Others, Like many others I followed the steps in this guide completely and still ran into the following boot error: **** [IOBluetoothHCIController][SearchFoTransportEventTimeOutHandler] — Missing Bluetooth Controller I eventually was able to get it to boot up by running the commands in the command prompt as a regular user and not as administrator. I noticed it was storing the settings in the Administrator user folder and not my local folder where my VM settings are. Additional steps I took that may or may not be relevant: Downgraded to VirtualBox 5.0.32 from 5.1.x Installed the VM VirtualBox extension pack… Read more »

Followed the guide perfectly, all I get is a console type input that says “UEFI Interactive Shell” or something along those lines. No OSX. Any ideas?

And then comes the critical error.

I already did the codes step. Before that step, it wasn’t showing me more than the critical error.
